1981 911 SC, Red/blk., 83k.miles
The 911 SC is a light and nimble handling car, especially notable 29
years later, with Porsche 911's weighing in at over 1,000 pounds more!
This little 3.0 car will reward you with pure driving entertainment.
Built in India guardsman red with black leather seats, electric sunroof,
power mirrors, heatable /power rear view mirrors, air conditioning, and
tinted glass.
It was fitted with a nice set of Fuchs light alloy wheels, 7x15 front,
and 8x15 rear, an early Turbo spoiler, SSI equal length heater box
headers, and a dual outlet muffler! Over the years it has received all
the important updates, 3.2 hydraulic pressure-fed tensioners, pop-off
valve, rotary A/C compressor, and a light weight spring centered clutch.
Of course they didn't stop there, the trans has had it's syncro's
freshened up, and the motor has had a rebuild with all new studs, rings,
and a thorough valve job. All within the last 10k. miles!
Cosmetically, it's in exemplary condition. At 17 years of age, while
they repaired the incidental damage after a very minor accident, decided
to do a full glass out repaint in the original color. Mostly due to the
early factory one step paint fading over time, they then used a
urethane two step with a clear coat, just like the factory began in
1986. It was a first rate job, and still appears very good today, just
forgive a few tiny stone chips on the hood. All in all, it's quite a lot
of car for under twenty grand!
