1988 Porsche 911 Carrera

This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is one of 875 total Commemorative Edition examples built to celebrate the production of the 250,000th 911. Of the 300 units imported to the US, 120 were coupes and all were finished in Diamond Blue Metallic over Diamond Blue supple leather. All of the Commemorative Edition cars had Ferry Porsche’s Signature on the headrests, as well as Diamond Blue Metallic Full Leather, D. Blue Exterior paint, with matching Fuchs alloys, no model identification on the engine lid, short shift on the G-50 transmission, electric sunroof, power seats, sport shocks and sway bars, and special silver knit carpeting. Powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle it has been modified with Bilstein shocks, front and rear adjustable sway bars, a front strut brace, and a performance chip. Additional equipment includes 15" Fuchs alloy wheels, a power-operated sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo and Air Conditioning Delete. The car was delivered new to Semersky Enterprises of Highland Park, Illinois, and was acquired by the us in 2022. . This Commemorative Edition Carrera coupe shows 94k miles. During it's first 21 years it's owner competed in PCA showroom stock events. The second owner of 14 years continued with HPDE events. Both owners serviced it at their local Porsche dealer. We commissioned an engine-out service in March 2022 by Fred Heistand Automotive of Manheim, Pennsylvania. It included a rebuild of the cylinder heads by Ober’s Performance of Lititz, Pennsylvania, with new valve guides. A repaint of the rear engine metal was also performed at this time in addition to the replacement of the: Timing chain tensioner Valve cover gaskets Spark plugs Rear main seal Front fuel line Oil pressure sender Oil cooler hoses Fan belt Lower cylinder head studs Engine sound insulation pad Shifter bushing Clutch assembly Flywheel bolts Clutch master and slave cylinder Thoroughly serviced up and ready for it's next caretaker, This 911 looks and runs as it should, and sure to be the hit everywhere !
