A New Bosch Motronic fuel injection system, coupled with a revised ignition system and modifications to the stroke generated nearly 30 HP more than the 1983 911 SC. Braking power was improved to match its increased performance. Changes included a larger brake booster, thicker rotors, larger rear calipers, and a rear braking pressure regulator that inhibited brake lock-up. This tastefully modified 1984 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet is finished in ceramic coated Grand Prix White, with a black, full leather interior. Enhancements include a SSI exhaust with the factory Dansk stainless steel muffler, Billet Sport Short Shifter, performance chip, heavy duty sway bars, and locking differential. This Carrera was recently lowered and corner balanced. Bilstein Sport Shocks contribute to the car’s tenacious road handling. The A/C unit was removed to reduce weight. Mileage is about 69000 miles. (still driving the past 5years) The Grand Prix White exterior, recently ceramic coated, is said to be 95% original, with a minor touch up detected only through use of a paint gauge. The black Targa top has been rebuilt, refinished, and fits snugly when locked into place. Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires are mounted on staggered 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Black window trim, Targa bar hoop, Carrera script, rear bumperettes, and bold black rubber side trim accentuate this Carrera’s stark white finish. The interior, upholstered in black full leather, power windows and color-matched side mirrors, aluminum-faced instrument dials, an iconic 3 spoke sport steering wheel with Classic Coco Mats add a vintage look to the interior. This Carrera is powered by a 3.2L flat-six engine that originally produced 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque from the factory. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Because of engine enhancements that included a performance chip and a modified exhaust, we estimate the engine now generates 227HP. Recent major service includes new Firestone tires all around, Bosch spark plugs, cap, and rotor, valve adjustment, brake flush, full fluid flush, and oil, fuel and air filters.
