1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 300 CD

Special Ordered, and delivered to a prominent local businessman by Lancaster County Motors in 1984. It was diligently serviced by LCM as required through 1986...At 47k. miles it was traded back for a new model. Then delivered to a Southern Lancaster County Businessman in Feb. '86...He continued to service it at LCM through 1991, and then at Klein Kars through '92, when he purchased a newer model Mercedes Diesel. The car had been such a joy for him, he decided to make it a keepsake...For those few perfect days, when weather and time cooperated. Eventually though, it just sat in the garage, as a fine piece of memorabilia, until being re-discovered in 2022! The originality and condition of the car demanded a proper resurrection to insure it's preservation for future generations. We started with a new Radiator, water pump, oil cooler, drive belts, trans mounts, engine mounts, hood insulation pad, air filter,and wiper blades. Then a full purge of all fluids and filters, replacing with O.E. Spec. oil, brake fluid, differential, coolant, transmission, and fuel. The chassis received fresh grease to all bushings and wheel bearings, a new set of tires, and a conversion of the A/C system to R-134a. During this process, the Becker Stereo and power antenna were sent to Becker for a rebuild, and now work as new. We also replaced a window regulator, dash light bulbs, and a few marker bulbs, new Lloyd's plush floor mats, and gave her a several coats of wax. I have personally driven it over 600 miles since, and everything works as I remember it should...Just like when I worked at the Mercedes dealer in 1984.
