This numbers-matching 1970 911T coupe was modified and race-prepped to compete in the Sport Car Club of America (SCCA) SPU (naturally-aspirated cars under 2.5 L) class, with most of the work done by Road-N-Race Automotive in Riviera Beach, Florida. The car was raced in three SCCA events and two Porsche Owner Club (POC) events in 2007-08. The current owner purchased the car in 2011and further modified it for his personal use with direction/advice from Jerry Woods. The additional work was completed in 2012. During current ownership, this 911T participated in 25 autocross competitions, garnering many FTDs. Originally Irish Green, the car was repainted white and the interior stripped to bare metal during the modification process. This purpose built 911T is competition focused, be it autocross, hill climb, DE, or wheel to wheel racing. Presently in storage this 911T hot rod has now been freshened, serviced, and is ready for aggressive driving. The seller indicates that the pan and the rocker panels are patched; however, a full roll cage locks together the front and rear suspension, preventing body flex. Fiberglass doors, fenders, and hood (original doors and frames are included) were used, together with a Shields Super Coat, anti-fog polycarbonate windshield, quarter windows and rear window to reduce unsprung weight. Original equipment glass is included with the sale. Brakes are ’S’ calipers with big brake cylinders. Hoosier racing tires are mounted on lightweight Mahle 8&9 x 15” wheels. (Other wheels are available for purchase.) The interior was fitted with a full roll cage, BUTLERBUILT race seat with 5-point safety harness, and fire suppression equipment. Suspension enhancements include: (Front) De-cambered ball joints, Rebel Racing RSR control arm bushings, KONI sport shocks, WEVO ARB 27mm sway bars w/billet adjustable arms, and Sander 23mm front torsion bars. (Rear) Weltmeister adjustable spring plates with monoball bearings, Sander 31mm rear torsion bar, WEVO 31mm sway bar with billet adjustable arms (Jerry Woods custom mounts) KONI sport shocks. This 911T is equipped with a fuel cell, front oil cooler, deep oil tank, and Aeroquip stainless steel hoses. The numbers-matching flat-six engine was rebuilt in 2007 with Mahle 2.3L ‘Big Bore’ pistons and cylinders, IWIS rod nuts and bolts, and Turbo cylinder cooling tin. The engine was line-bored, the case timeserted, the heads and manifolds ported and polished for higher compression, high performance camshafts with new original equipment (OE) key ways and locking pins, bronze phosphate valve guides, Teflon seals, and PMO 50/45 carburetors. A rebuilt Bosch distributor, MSD ignition, new intermediate shaft gears and sprockets, cam sprockets, idler sprockets with turbo chain rails, new oil pump, and oil thermostat were installed. The valve covers were resurfaced, the rockers radius cut and honed, and the rocker shafts polished. The cam covers/rocker boxes were resurfaced, the crank magnafluxed and polished, the flywheel resurfaced, thick wall oil return tubes were installed with Viton seals. Reinz seals and gaskets, Wurth hardware, and Glycol bearings were used in the reassembly. A Painless wiring harness replaced the original wiring and a Painless 5 switch panel was installed in 2007. Priced at $42,500 and located in Pennsylvania, this sale will include a clear title, SCCA Logbooks, numerous documents and receipts, A RSR front spoiler, original doors, frames and front bumper, and BBS Mahle Ultra light 15” wheels.
